Listening Sessions

WE WANT YOUR INPUT!

The America 250 | CT Commission invites the people of Connecticut to provide feedback as we approach the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 2026.

We seek to create a commemoration that is relevant, inclusive, and engaging, where Connecticut residents of all ages and backgrounds see themselves in history, appreciate its relevance, and understand how the diverse people of the past all contributed to the American story. Through the stories we share, this anniversary can encourage patriotism and pride in American resilience while also fostering critical awareness of our faults, past and present.

What do you want to see from the commemoration?

How would you like to be included?

While registration for listening sessions is closed, you may still participate via our survey. Initial results from the listening sessions were shared with the Commission at the March 20 Special Meeting.
