On July 1, 2022, Governor Ned Lamont established a commission responsible for planning the State of Connecticut’s multi-year commemorations, celebrations, and reflections on the 250^th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the formation of the United States of America, which will occur on July 4, 2026.
